KARACHI: A six-day anti-polio campaign would commence in the metropolis from today (July 25).
An official of the local administration said on Sunday that polio drops will be administered in 51 union councils of all the districts of city.
He said that 2,849 polio teams would be deployed with 659 supervisors. Meanwhile, Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja has directed that extraordinary security arrangements should be made for the campaign.
He called for the deployment of police commandos for the protection of polio teams. The IGP also directed for beefing up police patrolling, snap checking and advance intelligence collection system in this
