Sahulat bazaars set up to sell wheat flour at notified rates

On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, subsidized sahulat bazaars have been set up in provincial metropolis to sell flour and other essential items at notified rates.

The CM has also directed ACS (LG) Tahir Khursheed to immediately take steps for extending this facility to the whole of the province and Special Secretary (LG) has been deputed as focal person for this purpose.

In this regard, the CM has stated subsidized sahulat bazaars will provide relief to the masses and reiterated that protection of consumers’ rights will be ensured. Any artificial increase in rates will not be tolerated, he warned. ACS (LG) also said that subsidized sahulat bazaars will soon start working in rest of the districts.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has emphasized the politics of chaos does not change the destiny of the nations and stressed that those preferring personal interest over national interest cannot be leaders.

In a statement, the CM maintained that opposition cannot hoodwink the masses through their contemptuous tirade against the institutions. The dual nature of the opposition leaders has been fully exposed and opposition’s gatherings cannot dent the government. The time is not far when opposition alliance will be withering away and the government will complete its term, concluded the CM.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed indignation over an incident in which pictures of maltreatment of girl students of Govt. Girls Elementary School Rukan Pur RY Khan went viral. He sought a report from the secretary school education department and directed strict departmental action against the teachers.

Meanwhile, CEO (Edu) RY Khan has issued notification of suspension of headteacher (secondary) Hameeda Farooq and elementary school teacher Shehla Farooq and further action has been started under the PEEDA Act.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to the collapse of the roof in Okara. He extended sympathies to the heirs and directed to provide the best treatment to the injured children. He has also sought a report from Commissioner Sahiwal.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed displeasure over kite flying in some areas of the provincial metropolis and directed the CCPO Lahore to submit a report about the injury of a motorcyclist in Gulbahar colony due to kite twine. Incidents of kite flying are intolerable, he stressed. He directed to take legal action against those involved in kite flying. The CM has also directed to provide the best treatment to the injured.

Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister reviewed progress on revamping of health facilities under the Prime Minister’s Health Initiative and the upgradation of the Basic Health Units at the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department here on Monday.

Present in the meeting were Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Captain (Retd) Usman Younis, Additional Secretary Development Dr. Omar Farooq, Dr. Zulfiqar, Professor Javed Chaudhry and senior officials of the department. Secretary PSH Department Captain (Retd) Usman Younis apprised the Minister of the status and progress on the revamping and BHU upgradation initiative.

The Health Minister said, “Work on revamping of infrastructure and the upgradation of 222 Basic Health Units has already started and we are aiming to upgrade 2504 BHUS of Punjab to 24/7 model. Revamping will be completed in all the BHUs of Punjab. In the next phase 2282 BHUs will be revamped. After the revamping, services and facilities will be available at these BHUs for 24 hours. Prime Minister Imran Khan envisions the provision of basic healthcare facilities at the doorstep of every Pakistani. Providing facilities to common man is the foremost priority of the government. We have filled all vacant positions of doctors, nurses and support staff at the BHUs. Adequate stock of essential medicines is available at the BHUs. The 24/7 services are being provided in over 1000 BHUs of Punjab.”
