Mushtaq Raisani to be kept in remand for additional 10 days

QUETTA: Former Balochistan Secretary Finance Mushtaq Raisani appeared in an accountability court on Monday, in case of proceedings regarding the case filed against him.

The court has granted 10-day additional remand of former Balochistan Secretary Finance to NAB. Bureau had requested court to grant this permission of additional remand.

NAB authorities have received a physical remand of Mushtaq Raisani six times until this date.

Background:

Mushtaq Raisani was arrested from his office at civil secretariat on May 6 by NAB officials. Rs 730 million were recovered from Raisani’s residence in the form of local and foreign currency.

However, former accountant of Khaliqabad, Nadeem Iqbal will also appear before the accountability court in the mega corruption case.
