PESHAWAR: The Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University Peshawar Professor Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah has strictly denied news stories published in some newspapers regarding poor arrangements of the ETEA Entrance Test. He was talking to media at his office on Monday and showed his satisfaction at the overall arrangements and transparent arrangements of the Khyber Medical University (KMU) -ETEA Entrance Test for admission in the medical and dental colleges of the province.

He said in a clarification statement that it was an honour for KMU and ETEA to conduct and make arrangements for more than twenty seven thousand male and female students across the province. “To keep normal the flow of the traffic was the responsibility of traffic police and civil administration. nThey performed their duty with full zeal and commitment,” he added.

Prof. Hafizullah said he was personally present and supervised the test at Islamia Collegiate and Khyber Medical College cricket ground centers. He explained that no candidate or parents raised any serious objections. He said that parents were requested time and again to avoid parking on the roads, and requested to pick and drop their children instead. Prof. Hafizullah further added that besides providing a bottle of mineral water to all the students, large size coolers containing fresh and cold lemon water, and one fan per ten students were ensured at all centers.

The VC said that he had taken the issue of conducting online tests and increasing test centres with the relevant quarters and hopefully in the near future this issue could be resolved.

He ensured that all possible steps would be taken to further streamline the ETEA Test and no stone would be left unturned to further facilitate the students and their parents as well as in the upcoming test.
