Salon dilemma

Finding a beauty consultant is neither emotionally taxing nor does it require one to undertake arduous journey.

It might have been in the days of yore but, today, nothing’s out of reach; thanks to the internet. A simple touch on your smartphone screen provides you with all the listings on salons you need. Google Maps is the new Hermes!

Then comes the next part. You identify a local beauty salon. You go through the reviews. Turns out, the place, even with its fancy and exotic interior setting, fails miserably on performance and service delivery. You are disappointed but nonetheless you continue to be optimistic about the efforts you’re putting into your search – after all, it’s personal grooming we are talking about.

Simply put, you are in for one stunning transformation!

I sifted through numerous options until some ‘Anaya’s Salon & Spa’ caught my attention. ‘The name sounds familiar,’ I wondered. ‘Where have I heard this name?’ I tried to recall, cursing my memory all the way. ‘Someone told me about it or did I read about it somewhere?’ Amidst this internal clamour I clicked on the link that redirected me to the website of a leading national daily. ‘Finally, a review I can trust,’ I told myself.

What services do they offer? Well, everything… from streaks and balayage to scalp and Keratin treatment. Lowlights done by their staff give a flattering effect to hair look. And that hybrid, classic, and volume lash extensions; have you heard about them? Word is that they last from two to eight weeks – cool stuff!

Moreover, all the packages come at extremely affordable prices. Simply put, you are in for one stunning transformation! ‘But how did such an awesome service outlet come about in Pakistan,’ you chat with a staff member as she elaborates on the package details.

‘It all began 30 years ago…,’ a soft voice responds. ‘Hello, I am Anaya and I’m the owner of this salon. My mother established this center and she ensured that I receive international trainings and certifications prior to taking over the reins.’

‘Your salon and spa center speaks for itself. It feels good to be able to find a place that knows what the customer wants. Now for the treatment, I think I’ll go with’
