Buzdar inaugurates land record centres set up across Punjab

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated 115 arazi record centres, satellite arazi record centre, and 20 mobile arazi centres during his visit to the Board of Revenue on Monday. He also chaired a meeting to review institutional reforms and performance of the Punjab Land Record Authority, Punjab Disaster Management Authority, and Board of Revenue.

Talking on the occasion, the CM stated the registry system has been computerized in 100 tehsils while arazi record services will be provided at the level of Mouza in 32 Kanoongoi through satellite arazi record centre. The government is also extending the land transfer system in the whole of the province after the registry through an automated process, he added. In this regard, the CM explained that overseas arazi record centres have also been established in Pakistan embassies in the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, and UAE for expatriate Pakistanis. Meanwhile, the tree plantation drive is also started and people are getting services without any gratification or bribe, he stressed. Such steps are unique and the dream of a digital Punjab has been materialized by the government. The matters pertaining to arazi record became victim to the personal ego but the incumbent government has created ease in the lives of the citizens, he further said.

While addressing the meeting, the CM disclosed that a committee has been constituted for the restructuring of BoR field staff and open-courts are planned on 1st working day of every month to provide prompt services to the people. The PTI government has started printing and up-gradation of jammahbandi after a decade’s gap. Similarly, more than 1.4 lakh acres of land, worth more than one thousand billion rupees, has been retrieved from squatters. The CM directed to continue action against illegal occupants adding that legislation will be done to effectively eradicate the menace of squatting. Along with it, a revenue academy will be established in Lahore, and the shortage of revenue staff will be soon overcome, the CM concluded. A data-sharing agreement was also signed between federal and provincial BoRs.

Provincial ministers Malik Muhammad Anwar, Syed Sumsam Bukhari, Mian Khalid Mehmood, Chairman PLRA Sardar Ahmed Ali Dreshak, Parliamentary Secretary Ch. Adnan, SMBR, DGs of PLRA, PDMA and Katchi Abadis, Secretary Information, and others were also present.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said protection of life & property of the people in natural calamities and disasters is the responsibility of the state while such misfortunes remind us about the infinite powers of nature.

In his message, the CM observed that advance measures can help in reducing the damages and added the Punjab government is using modern technology for safety from disasters and calamities. He stated the PDMA is being further improved to provide better service delivery. An effective response-mechanism is imperative to reduce the damages and it is sanguine that PDMA has shown better performance in difficult situations like corona pandemic and locust attack; concluded the CM.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar will distribute agriculture machinery allotment certificates and e-credit cheques at a ceremony to be held at 90-SQA today (October 13). Meanwhile, the CM has stated that 300 billion rupees worth PM agri emergency programme is going on successfully in the country while the latest agri machinery worth 46 crore rupees is provided to farmers at subsidized rates. Similarly, the e-credit scheme is also going on well, he added.

Air Officer Commanding, Central Air Command Pakistan Air Force Lahore, Air Vice Marshal Zafar Aslam called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Monday. The CM paid tributes to the valiant role played by PAF for defending the country and stated the whole nation is proud of the air force. The whole world has also recognized the professional skills and capabilities of the PAF, he added. It is satisfying that PAF is also active in the social sector and full cooperation will be extended to it in every social sector including education, he said. The CM assured the government is striving for early completion of the cadet college project in Fort Munroe and more resources will be provided. The Punjab government and PAF will continue collaboration in the health and education sectors, he added.
