PPP women wing celebrate Zardari’s birthday

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party Women Wing Islamabad celebrated birthday of former president Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Addressing the occasion, former Punjab Assembly member Nargis Faiz Malik said that the former president restored constitution of Pakistan and empowered Parliament thus completing mission of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

She said that he (Zardari) also gave identity to Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said that the PPP was united under the leadership of Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

Shamim Aijaz, Zubaida Rao, Gulzari Begum, Pukhraj Begum, Hasina Bano, Hasina Qadir, Surayya Zakir, Shazia Khan, Fatima Gilani, Safia Iqbal, Shahnaz Durrani, Khadija Bibi, Shaheen Akhtar and other women attended the occasion. The gathering reposed full confidence in the leadership of Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

Another event in this regard also took place in Lahore, near Data Darbar, where the party workers distributed daigs of Zarda and Pulao amongst the poor. Special prayers were also held for the health and long life of the former president. This event in Lahore was orgnised by Faisal Mir and Dr Zarrar Yousaf among others.
