Sir: Reading habit is one of the best characteristics that a man can adopt. Once the habit of book reading develops, it seldom dies out. It is said that a book is man’s best friend in life. By reading a good book, one can not only earn knowledge but also gain experience and learn moral values in life.
The taste of reading should be acquired in the early stage of life, because a good book refreshes one’s mind and brings immense pleasure. It is rightly said that wealth can be stolen but knowledge cannot be taken away. The more you offer it to others, the more it increases in yourself. There is no alternative to knowledge in this world and it can only be gained by developing good reading habits. In order to raise the culture of good reading habit, the cooperation of teachers and parents is necessary. They should help encourage reading habits among children.
