On the orders of the Supreme Court, the Faisalabad Development Authority has started a grand operation against encroachments in the FDA-controlled housing colonies and commercial markets.
In this connection, the anti-encroachment team inspected Nazimabad and found some residents and shopkeepers involved in illegal constructions outside their houses and shops. The violators were given a warning for removal of encroachments voluntarily but compliance was not done. After this, the anti-encroachment team demolished illegally constructed car garages, fences, and other structures made by encroaching the roads and public sites.
The encroaches have been warned by the FDA management to refrain from encroach the public sites otherwise strict legal action would be taken against the violators and material would be confiscated besides making the challan against them. Also, illegal encroachments on government lands outside 260 houses in Ghulam Muhammadabad have been removed while the process of relinquishing parks and green areas from the occupation group is also underway.
