Sir: Pakistan is one of the few remaining countries in the world where polio is still categorised as an endemic viral infection. Hence, the initiation of polio eradication campaign in selected nine districts is a good step as these areas are considered to be at greater risk to polio virus transmission.
The Punjab government is leaving no stone unturned to prevent the future generations of Pakistan from this viral infection through several rounds of vaccination being carried out across the province. Since the provision of quality healthcare services to the people of Punjab is the top most priority of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif therefore no child anywhere in the province should suffer from this completely preventable disease.
