Registration offices have been set up in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad for the registration of madrassas.
The process of registering will begin from October 5, 2020 and the madrassas will be registered as per contract between government and alliance of madrassas to merge them with Federal Ministry of Education. Registration centers have been set up in 133 districts including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit Baltistan. Communication officers at provincial and district levels are assigned to supervise the registration process.
According to sources, communication officers are deployed in 35 district of Punjab, 24 districts of Sindh and 31 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 25 registration centers have been set up in Balochistan, 9 in Azad Jammu Kashmir and 8 in Gilgit Baltistan. The organisers or caretakers of madrassas can receive the registration forms from provincial or district offices.
