ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has summoned former interior minister Rehman Malik on June 23 along with record, including inquiry reports of the cases. The JIT has issued summon in this regard and directed him to ensure his appearance before JIT in Hudaibiya Papers Mills and others cases. Prior to this, the JIT has summoned Rehman Malik on June 13 but he did not appear before it as he was abroad.

Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned Rehman Malik before his appearance in the JIT. Bilawal has also directed him to provide all evidence against the Sharifs. According to media reports, the PPP chairman called Malik just before his appearance in JIT so that the inquiry reports of all important cases could be reviewed and accountability process of the Sharifs could be materialised and the real face of the rulers could be exposed before the people by presenting credible evidence of corruption of Sharif family before the JIT.

On the other hand, Bilawal understands it well that situation can take an abrupt turn due to day to day intensifying accountability process against Nawaz and in the wake of this situation he has directed party workers to remain ready to face any situation.
