The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has decided to expel five members of the party for violating disciplinary rules.

According to media reports, the party has decided to expel 5 members of PML-N who met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar who hails from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek Insaf.

With the approval of the leadership, party secretary general Ahsan Iqbal announced the decision. The expelled members include Ashraf Ansari, Jalil Sharaqpuri, Faisal Niazi, Nishat Daha, and Maulvi Ghiyas Uddin. In addition to this, show cause notices have also been issued to PML-N MPs who were absent during FATF polls. On Tuesday a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial lawmakers met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and expressed their support to him for resolving public issues.

On the other hand, Member of the Punjab Assembly and PML-N leader Jalil Sharaqpuri has raised the question before the party leadership that why he was expelled from the party.

On the announcement of expulsion from PML-N, Sharaqpuri said that the decision to expel from the party was very emotional and very inappropriate and undemocratic. He said that he did not violate party discipline. The leadership did not point out any mistake before this extreme action was taken. He said that Nawaz Sharif is in trouble. If the PML-N does not accept, they will sit on separate benches in the Punjab Assembly, he added.
