ISLAMABAD: Security has been beefed up at public places in Islamabad in the wake of a suicide attack threat.
Sources in the interior ministry told Online that security agencies have received information that suicide attackers were intending to target public places.
According to the sources, Centaurus Mall has been declared highly sensitive area after the threats. According to the sources, around 60 police men have been deployed for security of the Centaurus Mall. Rangers and special branch personnel have also been deployed on security duty. A senior officer of federal police told Online that according to the intelligence intercept, three to four terrorists could target public places in Islamabad. He said that security of shopping mall and recreational parks has been increased and police patrolling has also been enhanced.
