Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday has directed the concerned representative to submit report on the implementation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrant through United Kingdom’s County Court till September 30.
During the hearing of Avenfield and Al-Azizia references conducted by a two-member bench, Additional Attorney General has assured the court that official of Pakistan High Commission will reach the PML-N supremo’s residence in London to inform him about court orders.
The top court has already directed the federal government to ensure the attendance of Nawaz Sharif in the upcoming hearing as it remarked that he was sent abroad by the incumbent government.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 17th September, the Islamabad High Court Registrar Office started implementing the orders and issued notice to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for taking steps to arrest former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
