Priority for poor areas in CPEC

Author: Daily Times

Sir: I want to highlight the problems of less developed areas in CPEC project. The issue has been raised by some lawmakers in the parliament in last few days. Many members of the Senate have urged the federal government to give priority to less developed areas of the country. Furthermore, they have also advised the government, again and again, to take the smaller provinces into confidence for the smooth implementation of this mega project. The reservations of the smaller provinces should be addressed in the parliament, and government should reveal all the details of the project in front of legislators for smooth and transparent implementation of the project.
