‘PTI working hard to make KP prosper’

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government was working hard to make the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a prosper province.

He said that most of the reforms during the last four years were the need of the hours and that without institution capacity none of the government department can show progress.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was chairing a high-level meeting at Chief Minister’s House. He lashed out at the successive governments of the province and their delayed projects.

He said that contractors and construction companies operating in the province should complete all its ongoing projects as per deadline, adding that valuable resources of the province have been used to create an exemplary construction and put the province on the track.

Minister for Local Government Inayatullah, Education Minister Muhammad Atif Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Azam Khan and Advocate General Abdul Latif Yousafzai were also present.

“We would not refrain from making more and more reforms and introduce new bills with aim to streamline the province par with modern worlds and facilitate the common man,” Khattak said.

“All of the ongoing projects approved by the provincial government were accordance with the international standards and broaden roads and beatification of the Peshawar was the instance of the development,” he added.

“Apart from Peshawar Mass Transit almost all of the roads of the provincial capital would be taken to modern cities of the world. All important spots of the city such as Khyber Machani road would be facilitated for the traffic by constructing a new flyover and complex,” he shared.

He said that the previous governments were under the influence of the major firms and private contractors which has spoiled great chunks of funds of the government without gain any concrete and long term development.
