KATI asks exemption of industry from energy load-shedding to President Alvi

President of Pakistan has agreed to allocate special funds from PM’s Karachi Package for development of industrial areas of Karachi. It was told by President of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) after the meeting with the President Dr. Arif Alvi.
As per details the meeting with heads of industrial area associations of Karachi and prominent industrialists with the President was held at Governor House Karachi.

President KATI said that a proposal to exempt industries from gas and electricity load shedding was also discussed in the meeting. He said that President Alvi also agree to allocate special funding for developmental projects of industrial area from 1100 billion PM’s Package for Karachi. “ I also suggested to allot at least 2 billion Rs to every development company of Industrial areas of Karachi to overhaul the depleted infrastructure” he added. He told that President Alvi not only agreed to the suggestion of providing special funding to industrial areas he also directed to submit PC-I for the proposed projects. President of Pakistan also directed the concerns authority to resolve the issues faced by industries in Karachi. Sheikh Umer Rehan also applauded the initiative of President and Prime Minister for taking industrialist community on board for to remove the hurdles of industrial production in Karachi.
