KARACHI: Unidentified men on Sunday kidnapped five goldsmith brothers from Karachi’s Korangi area, police said.
According to police, abducted have been identified as Mohammed Amir, Mohammed Asif, Mohammed Sajid, Mohammed Majid and Mohammed Arif. All five brothers have their shops in a market at Korangi No 6 area.
However, according to eyewitnesses, civilian-dressed people in police vans abducted them. Traders in the area were considering giving a protest call over abduction of traders.
Meanwhile, Rangers on Sunday conducted raids in different parts of the metropolis and nabbed five suspected criminals.
According to Rangers sources, the paramilitary force carried out a raid in Buffer Zone and apprehended two suspects.
Separately, three accused were also apprehended when the authorities raided an office of a political party in Liaquatabad area.
