DI Khan passes Rs 6.82bn budget amid ruckus

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: District Nazim Nawabzada Azizullah Khan Alizai approved a Rs 6.82 billion tax-free budget with majority amid ruckus of opposition at the district council meeting here on Tuesday.

The district council budget was passed with Convener Ismail Khan Baloch in chair. The meeting was attended by a large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal, Pakistan People’s Party councillors.

As the District Nazim started his budget speech opposition members including Maulana Ubaid ur Rehman, Sheikh Yaqub, Ahmand Khan Kamrani and Abdul Majid along with other members took up the issue of their attendance with the convenor apparently to hamper the budget session.
