If conditions improve, schools will reopen on Sept 15: Shafqat Mahmood

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood has said that if the situation improves, the schools will be reopened on September 15. He said this while addressing a press conference here Friday.

He said a meeting of the education ministers will be held on September 7. Later a final decision will be taken to reopen the schools. If it is decided to open the school, the health ministry will announce the detailed procedure, he added.

He said that the Federal Ministry of Education started the duty of national education, made NCOC an active institution and took decisions in collaboration with the provinces.

He remarked it was first decided that schools would be closed. Schools were closd on March 13. Later September was announced. It is impossible to hold examination of 9th,10th, 11th, 12th class.

He added that future prospects were decided. Such a formula was evolved under which 4 million students were promoted. This all was unanimously accepted.

If you look, the children were disappointed with the Cambridge exams and results, But 29 education boards in Pakistan accepted.

Now we are going to open schools from September 15.

The Ministry of Health will announce a detailed procedure in this regard. “When the epidemic broke out, we were challenged that schools were closed and how could we educate the children,” he said. As soon as the disease is eradicated, schools and colleges will reopen

It is a great achievement of the government that we have worked on a reform agenda, decided to reduce class division, he stated.
