ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has expressed concern over Pentagon’s decision to delay $300 million disbursement to Pakistan under the Coalition Support Fund on the pretext that Islamabad is “not doing enough” to fight insurgent groups.

These concerns were voiced by Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria at a weekly briefing to the media here on Thursday. The spokesperson said the US was giving Pakistan defense aid through the Coalition Support Fund. He said that Pakistan would continue indiscriminate action against all terrorist groups. He said that Pakistani forces made gains in tribal areas after decades of efforts. He said that Pakistan would continue Operation Zarb-e-Azb against all terrorist groups. He said that senior members of the US Congress and media visited the areas where normalcy had returned.
