The acting governor Sindh & speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani on Tuesday has said that no one can separate Karachi from Sindh whereas the masses need not worry over prodding.

He said that those who talked about making Karachi as federal territory were soothing their stray sould but the constitution of Pakistan didn’t suggest such a thing.

This he said while talking to media after visiting the shrine of Hazrat Qalander Lal Shahbaz in Sehwan.

Acting governor said that he didn’t think that the capital city of Sindh was being taken away from the province as federal territory. “The opponents of PPP govt try to instigate the peoceful masses of Sindh by spreading different types of rumours from time to time but there is no fact of prodding about the recent rumour”, he said.

He further said that nobody could muster the courage to deprive the sons of soul of Karachi untill a single kid was alive.

He said that the country was being run by the constitution of Pakistan which was given by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1973. “There is no provision in the constitution to take illegal steps”, he said.

The acting governor said that if someone got pleased by spreading such false news, it was alright but such things were not possible in real.

In reply to a question, he said that the attorney general had clarified the situation regarding imposition of ‘Governor Raj’ in the province adding that it will bear no fruits if we talked on the futile issue.

In reply to a question regarding the arrest of a bigwig, he enquired about the journalist whether he got arrested the people. “I don’t know that who is going to be arrested. Do I get the people apprehended? He question.

He went on saying that Asif Ali Zardari remained in prisons for 12 years in the cases made politically but nothing were proved against him in the courts.

“If he arrested again, he will come out proving himself as sinless”, he said and added that people only talked on different issues but if the same were materialized, his party leadership, will face it efficaciously.
