E-stamp papers from Sept 1

RAWALPINDI: A decision has been taken to introduce E Stamp papers in district courts and all the teshils of district Rawalpindi from September 01.

This was decided during a review meeting held here under ADC Arif Rahim in the office of the Administrator Pothohar Town. ADC Arif Rahim said no stamp paper would be issued after August, 31. E stamp papers will be available in district Kutchery and Tehsil offices.

Challans will be obtained from E stamp paper offices in district Kutchery and tehsil offices and the fees will be deposited in any branch of Punjab Bank.

After verification of the code, the stamp papers will be issued to the applicant.

The introduction of E stamp papers is aimed at curbing forgery in registry, Hubba and agreement related matters. Awareness will be created among the general public through seminars in this regard.
