ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday released details of assets owned by politicians.
According to the details, the value of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s assets is Rs 1.6 billion. The Sharif family’s estate in Raiwind is valued at Rs 4 million. His Upper Mall Lahore property is worth over Rs 250 million. Moreover, the PM owns Rs 7 million worth of furniture, Rs 5 million worth of animals and birds, and three cars and two tractors.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan owns assets worth more than Rs 1.4 billion. The details show that the current value of Khan’s Bani Gala land is Rs 750 million. He has no personal vehicle in his possession, but owns four goats worth Rs 200,000. According to ECP, Imran Khan has declared the value of his Zaman Park residence as Rs 296 million.
The total value of Hamza Shehbaz’s assets is Rs 350 million. Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed has assets worth more than Rs 40 million.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman owns assets worth Rs 6.4 million. The prime minister’s son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar has assets valued Rs14 million.
The details reveal that speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq owns assets worth more than 19 crore, Shah Mehmodd Qureshi Rs 50 crore, Jehangir Tareen Rs78 crore and Khursheed Shah Rs3 crore.
Besides this Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s assets are valued to be Rs 58 crore and Senator Aitzaz Ahsan Rs 10 crore.
