Imran ordered police action against PMLN, says Marriyum

PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the peaceful and unarmed supporters and workers were subjected to state hooliganism on the direction of Imran Khan and later tried to spin a false narrative that demonstrators attacked the police.

In a video message, Marriyum said for the past two years, PML-N Leaders have been appearing before the court countless times with thousands of supporters every time and never has anyone ever damaged a single brick or attacked a single law enforcement personnel. She said Imran had given special orders to crush the peaceful demonstrators who showed up to support their leader Maryam Nawaz. The rented hooligan Spokespersons of the government tried to hide the truth by lying through their teeth that the PMLN demonstrators attacked the police, she pointed out. These were PMLN supporters who have been categorically told by their Quaid Nawaz Sharif never to resort to violence, not PTI supporters spurred on by Imran to tear down National Institutions buildings, she reminded.

She said the police baton-charged the PMLN supporters, sprayed them with mace, fired tear-gas at them and pelted them with heavy stones. Dozens of PMLN supporters have sustained serious injuries and many others have been hurt, she said. “The entire fiasco was a thoroughly planned exercise on Imran’s directions where the PMLN workers were assaulted and then the police attacked Marriyum Nawaz’s car with heavy stones with a clear intention to cause harm to her. These acts have exposed the fear of PMLN support in the heart of fascist Imran who left no stone unturned to stop the PMLN leaders and supporters with blockades and cheap shallow tactics. The fear of the NAB-Niazi alliance has been completely exposed,” Marriyum said.
