Shaukat Nawaz Tarar, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chakwal city worker, former candidate for Councilor Municipal Committee and also coordinator of the ward’s Tiger Force, is under police terror.

According to Shaukat Nawaz Tarar, SHO Sub-Inspector Mansoor Mazhar of Police Station City, along with Assistant Sub-Inspector Tanveer Aslam and other unidentified civil clothes police persons, forcibly entered his neighbour’s house in a private vehicle.

Shaukat Nawaz says that when he made footage of the incident on his mobile phone, Mansoor Mazhar tried to snatch his mobile phone from him and tried to torture him. He gave the mobile phone to his son and he followed my son to my house. He entered and forcibly snatched my mobile phone.

Provincial Minister for Higher Education Commission Yasir Humayun Sarfraz Raja took notice of the incident and District Police Officer Muhammad Bin Ashraf assured action against Sub-Inspector Mansoor Mazhar involved in the incident but no action was taken after 72 hours.

The victim Shaukat Nawaz Tarar said that the police station has been turned into a city police state. Due to human rights violations and registration of false cases, ordinary citizens are suffering from insecurity.
