Businessmen, civil society flay Quetta blast

KARACHI: The business community and members of civil society have strongly condemned the Quetta suicide bomb blast on Monday. They have also flayed the assassination of Quetta Bar President Bilal Anwar Kasi.

Members All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, Pakistan Apparel Forum (PAF), Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Lasbella Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, trade bodies of Hyderabad, Sukkur and other cities said the killings of lawyers and journalists, including innocent people, were deplorable.

PTA senior executive member Agha Saiddain, PAF Chief Jawed Bilwani, Sanaullah Khan, senior member of KCCI and others said killings of more than 100 persons, including lawyers and media men, in the blast was great human tragedy.

Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International and former Federal Minister for Human Rights, Ansar Burney Advocate has strongly condemned the incident. He alleged that Indian Intelligence Agency (RAW) was behind the Quetta attack.

A spokesperson for the former minister for petroleum Dr Asim Hussain has said that Hussain has strongly condemned the brutal and barbaric attack on the Civil Hospital Quetta.

“This deplorable and cowardly attack indicates that those who are doing it are very weak and they want to destabilise our country”, the spokesperson said.
