ISLAMABAD: A precious piece of land of 265 kanals beside GT Road, situated at vicinity of federal capital Islamabad, Tarnol has become the soft target for land mafia because of nobleness of the owners.
The land is owned by an officer, Kamal-ud-Din who works in a bank at Islamabad. First of all this plot was sold by a criminal Boby Khan through deception at throw away price as he showed that it was his property. Then second time this land was once again sold by Malik Arshad to the owners of Toyota showroom Nadim Khalid.
The original owner of the land Kamal-ud-Din is still deprived of the possession of his ancestral land despite the fact that he had registered three FIRs on different times at Tarnol police station against land grabbers.
The joint investigation team of Islamabad Police has also declared Kamal-ud-Din the actual owner of the land but in spite of this the influential land mafia has continued to grab the land. The mafia on previous day has registered the case in Tarnol Police Station after wounding their own guard with their own gun as they want to swallow the plot at every cost, which is situated a few furlongs away from the Tarnol Police Station.
When Daily Times contacted Kamal-ud-Din, he said that he has got stay order from the court to save this land. A joint investigation team was constituted to probe the matter under the supervision of former IG Khalid Khattak, which mentioned in his report, after reviewing the record of revenue department that he (Kamal-ud-Din) is the real owner of the land and the persons who are claiming its ownership, have the land at Sarai Kharboza.
A land mafia member Malik Arshad sold his land at Sarai Kharboza to Muhammad Ahsan but after giving them some piece of land from it, he used to slur the buyers. The case has also been registered against him at Tarnol Police Station.
On 1st January 2016, two more land grabbers Abid Khan and Qasim Khan tried to seize the land against whom the case was also registered with the police.
Earlier Kamal gave an application to Tarnol Police on 16th May 2015 that Bahadur Khan, Arshad Mehmood, Bashir Khan and Khurram Khan made an effort to transfer the land on their name through bogus documents, on which police had registered the case.
On 21st July this year, Kamal once again registered the case at police station against MD Toyota GT Motors Nadim Khalid and Khan Nawaz that the culprits have made illegal construction on his land. It is worth mentioning here that in spite of registering the case thrice, the police could not succeeded to hand over the disputed land to its genuine landlord.
Now the land mafia has also get registered the case against Kamal-ud-Din, who told this scribe that he or his companions never went at the land carrying the arms and ammunition.
“Nadim Khalid once came to me and accepted it that the land belongs to me and it was sold to him through fraud. He asked me to sell the land to him but I refused”, he added
Kamal said that now the culprits are playing havoc with him and each and every police official at Tarnol Police Station knows the reality but they are not taking action against the culprits to return the land to its real owners.
