Govt targeting its own people but not blaming RAW for the Quetta blast

ISLAMABAD: After the Quetta carnage , the government has started attacking its own establishment through its allies and not even pointed a finger of accusation at the Indian intelligence agency, RAW.

The Prime Minster has not directly blamed RAW for the Quetta blast so far, but on Monday Maulana Shernai from JUI(F) condemned the establishment and on Tuesday ,the right hand of PM Sharif, PKMAP’s Mehmood Khan Achakzai, has clearly said that blaming RAW would not work.

“If our agencies can find a pin in the pond of unclean water , then why have we failed to trace out the terrorists” Achkzai asked.

After the Quetta incident , the federal government and establishment do not seem to be on the same page.

After the terrorist attack at the APS Peshawar, the whole country ot united, but after the Quetta tragedy both the Sharif brothers reached the spot separately.

The close partner of Nawaz Sharif JUI(F)’s leader Maualna Sherani, has showered arrows of criticism on the establishment openheartedly inside the National Assembly.

He said during his speech in the House that this country was for the establishment or was the establishment was for Pakistan? “Our enemy is from inside and he does not belong outside”.

He said that the precedent of using jets against the country’s own people was not witnessed anywhere in the whole world, but in Pakistan this happened .

He said that murdering “our own people after taking money from outside and then weeping is not justice Our own institutions are killing our people”, he remarked.

He said that the solutions of the problems were with the defence organisations and the matters should be resolved by keeping in view the ground realities instead of considering giving preference to personal wishes.

After that, another coalition partner of Prime Minister Nawaz, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, said that the agents of the “enemy” were present in the entire country and the happening of the Quetta blast was the failure of the Pakistani agencies . He proposed that those intelligence officers should be fired who do not give a satisfactory performance.

“We would have to settle it down that we will not fight anybody’s proxy war”, Achakzai said, adding that he would never offer Fatiha for anybody in the house

The head of Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, said that Mehmood Khan Achakzai was the agent of both RAW and NDS Afghanistan.

He said that Achakzai was the person who took the most benefits from Nawaz Sharif as he was the closest man to the PM and he deserves more condemnation .

“Achakzai is the secret weapon of the “enemy” and his statements clearly showed that the government on the one hand was making only pledges on the national action plan and on the other side it had adopted a strategy to make the establishment and its own security institutions target boards through its allies”, Rashid explained.

The political circles are of the opinion that Nawaz Sharif had to go to Quetta after the incident as the COAS, General Raheel Sharif, had already been there .

The increasing gulf between the federal government and the establishment on national security could not only prove dangerous for the country’s peace but the terrorists could also take advantage of these widening differences.
