QUETTA: A high level meeting was held at Southern Command Headquarters in Quetta which reviewed different aspects of security situation and suggested measures to further tight security in the province.
“It was vowed that no stone would be left unturned to strengthen country’s defence,” the ISPR said, adding that more concreted steps would be taken for bringing peace and prosperity in Balochistan. The meeting reviewed the security situation emerged after the Quetta Civil hospital suicide blast.
According to ISPR, the meeting was jointly presided over by Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri and South Commander Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha, Police Inspector General Ahsan Mehboob, FC Inspector General Major General Sher Afgun, Southern Command Chief of Staff Major General Syed Muhammad Adnan, General Officer Commanding Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan, General Officer Commanding Major General Abid Lateef Khan and other senior civil and military officials.
