Traffic Warden shot and injured in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A traffic warden was shot and brutally injured while he was on duty. Warden Sohail Shahzad was deployed under the sixth road flyover to check one wheeling when he was shot.

Sohail was deployed under the sixth road flyover when at 05:00AM in the morning a group of men riding on two motorbikes entered the area and one of them started one wheeling. When Sohail tried to intercept the one breaking the law, the person riding on an unregistered motor bike opened fire on him.

Although Sohail Shahzad is fighting fit now but the assailant fired 4 bullets at him and one of them pierced through his ribs and also injured his right arm. The injured Warden was soon shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital by rescue 1122 where he received early medication and survived.
