QUETTA: It is reported that at least four people have been injured due to a loud roadside blast that took place while targeting a vehicle belonging to the Anti-Terrorism Force at Quetta’s Zarghon Road near Al Khair Hospital on Thursday (today).
According to the sources, the injured include two security officials and four civilians.
The blast was too loud and resulted in shattering window glasses and bomb was planted along the side of the road and exploded as the vehicle was passing by.
Security forces have already reached the scene and are collecting evidence. Rescue teams have also arrived and the injured are being shifted to a nearby hospital.
Security officials told that the explosive material weighed more than 4kilograms.
Police have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway.
The explosion comes just days after a suicide bombing that killed over 70 people, mostly lawyers and journalists, at the emergency ward of Quetta’s Civil Hospital on Monday.
