JHANG: Flood in the River Chenab has left more than 100 villages submerged in the district.
According to the officials, floodwater has washed away crops on hundreds of acres in the district. The River Chenab passes through the district and joins the River Jhelum at Trimu Headworks. The floodwater inundated villages in the Jhang Tehsil and played havoc with crops.

In the Athara Hazari Tehsil, floodwater has inundated at least 50 villages. Link roads have been closed. Floodwater overflowing from Trimu Headworks badly affected the crops. Now floodwater is heading for the Shorkot and Ahmedpur Sial Tehsils.
