PTI MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain offers to resign

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aamir Liaquat Hussain has said he will present his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a tweet, the television personality and parliamentarian said he is a helpless MNA of Karachi. “I cannot provide electricity to my people. I cannot bear to see the suffering of Karachi especially my constituency. I cannot bear the lies of (K-Electric CEO) Moonis Alvi,” he said.

Therefore, he said he has requested time from the prime minister to present his resignation.

Notably, Aamir Liaquat had additionally complained that he was not invited to a gathering in Governor Home the place the newly appointed governor met all of social gathering’s MNAs and MPAs from metropolis and was intentionally being sidelined on account of his stringent views on points folks of town are going through.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a son of politician Sheikh Liaquat Hussain and renowned columnist Mahmooda Sultana, contested his maiden electoral battle in 2002 on the ticket of Muttahida Qaumi Movement from NA-249 Karachi-XI constituency. He was also appointed as the minister of state for Religious affairs and Zakat and Usher Division in September 2004 in Shaukat Aziz cabinet.
