After an important meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Prime Minister Imran Khan is considering to remove Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar from his post and reshuffling the provincial cabinet, sources disclosed.

Sources further informed that the present government is not satisfied with the performance of the Punjab Chief Minister.

Earlier, the prime minister had summoned progress report of the minister from Punjab chief minister and also sought performance report of the Punjab government from various departments. Sources said after reviewing the report the PM had express displeasure.

According to the sources, the name of Yawar Bokhari is under consideration for the post of CM Punjab.

Notably, CM Buzdar has also used his former association with the PML-Q to his full advantage. He continues to play a bridge between the PTI and PML-Q. The ability to lend a soft ear to PML-Q while managing the internal grumblings of PTI has added to his longevity in office.
