Actress Mehwish Hayat says that even though there is no vaccine for coronavirus, there is one for polio and we must give our children a chance to live a happy life by getting vaccinated.

In a video statement, Mehwish said, “Did you know that the 1166 helpline used for getting Covid-19 information, is actually the helpline for polio eradication program in Pakistan?”.

She said that the program’s team has been instrumental in controlling the virus by working day and night. The team’s members are working, away from their families, just so that we can all stay safe from the virus.

Mehwish said that the most dangerous thing about the virus is how quickly it spreads and that we don’t have a vaccine for it. But, we do have a vaccine for a disease like polio, so get your children regularly vaccinated and give them a chance to live a happy life, she added.

She concluded the video with a message to her fans, “Be safe, and be happy.”
