ISLAMABAD: Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday took oath as the acting chief justice of Pakistan (CJP). The oath was administered by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa in the Supreme Court. The ceremony was held in a very simple manner, due to the Quetta tragedy on August 8. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar would act as chief justice of Pakistan until Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali returns to Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by judges of the Supreme Court, attorney general for Pakistan and law officers.
