ISLAMABAD: Former Media advisors of PML-N Abdul Khaliq Wasi and Zulfiqar Malik have started blackmailing AJK Prime Minister (PM) Raja Farooq Haider Khan in connection with their adjustment in AJK government. Both PML-N leaders were pressurising Raja Farooq Haider in the name of Sardar Sikandar Hayat, however, AJK PM had banned them from entering the PM House.

Sources said that security staff stopped them outside the PM House for one hour on Friday and upon it, both leaders allegedly exchanged heated words with the security personnel. They later entered into PM House along with a minister. However PM Raja Farooq Haider postponed his other meetings to avoid meeting with these two PML-N leaders.

Abdul Khaliq Wasi is a candidate for the slot of media advisor to PM while Zulfiqar Malik is aspirant for the slot of political advisor to PM. They were both charged with taking large amounts of money from PML-N workers in exchange for the false promise of party tickets.

Sources said that AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider had kept his distance from these two persons after the reports on bribery became public.

But the two leaders are pressurising Raja Farooq Haider in the name of Sardar Sikandar Hayat and Asif Kirmani for their own adjustment.

When contacted, Abdul Khaliq Wasi told Daily Times that there was no substance in the reports of bribery by him in return for party tickets and these were mere false allegations.

‘I am among the senior most leaders of PML-N and no one can prevent me from entering into PM House,’ he declared. He said that “I have not done any lobbying with reference to any adjustment. Whatever decision is taken by party with regard to adjustment will be acceptable to me.”

Daily Times tried to contact AJK PM Press secretary in this regard but he did not respond. It is pertinent to mention here that Abdul Khaliq Wasi has worked as media advisor with former AJK PM Sardar Sikandar Hayat.

The spokesman of Prime Minister AJK has said that all the meetings of PM are scheduled and not any one can see Prime Minister without schedule. However he said that he is not aware of any effort of blackmailing to PM as no one can blackmail the PM.
