PTI having a hard time in Sindh

It seems like the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members’ infighting has not been limited to the Insaf House, now it has turned into protest and sit-in.

As in Karachi and Sindh, there always have been sharp differences among the PTI leaders in terms of organization as seniors and ideological workers have been side-lined.

PTI’s ideological workers from all over the Sindh have been sitting for a week and now going to set up a hunger strike camp against nepotism and injustice of PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, Karachi’s President Khurram Sheer Zaman and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail at Karachi Press Club.

While talking to Daily Times Shahid Ali Rind founder member and former senior vice president of Larkana said that we are against the establishment of an unconstitutional region which has divided Sindh chapter into four regions.

“Founder and ideological members of party being ignored and the parachutes have hijacked the party”, said Shaihd Rind

With tears in her eyes Saira Ali Meer told that I have given 17 years of my life and now like a tissue paper we have been put into dustbin adding that the females who came from others parties, they are being given positions and local leaders being ignored.

Saira disclosed that Tahir Malik, a senior leader who performed his duty with dignity as Deputy Central Information Sindh, has also been sidelined.

Tehseen Zehra, former President of Hyedrabad said that no female has any respect but the ladies who came with Halem Adil Sheik and joined PTI earlier, they are being facilitated and giving value.

Yousuf Daillia who is leading ideological workers in Karachi said that Khurram Sheer Zaman has been MPA for seven years and also having post of President of Karachi and he has not done anything for the Karachi yet adding that he is nothing just because of his money and influence he has inspired leadership.

According to reliable sources an angry group of about 11 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians is currently active in Sindh and they are supporting these workers and waiting for the good time to show strength.

They include four members of the National Assembly and seven members of the Sindh Assembly

Most of them are those in whose constituencies’ funds have not been released and they are not being given access to the Prime Minister to convey their grievances.

Since Haleem Adil Sheikh joined PTI, its ideological workers showing their concern as on party’s 23rd Foundation Day when Haleem Adil Sheikh came for addressing the gathering, workers did shouting and taunting during his speech and he had to leave dice without completing his speech.

Later, central leader and Chief Organizer Saifullah Niazi came to Karachi and tried to end the party’s internal turmoil and he announced the Karachi’s body. However, party insiders say differences still exist among Karachi organizational officials.

According to party sources Governor Imran Ismail, Haleem Adil Sheikh and Khurram Sheer Zaman, leading in sindh and now are shuffling in the sindh body to occupy the forthcoming local body election; there are many parliamentarians who are unhappy with their decision.

Earlier, Najeeb Haroon, an MNA of PTI from Karachi and a founding member of the party had already showed his concerned by sending his resignation because he couldn’t deliver and being unable to bring about any change to his constituency and the city. While MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain also keeps showing his concerned over negligence of PTI Parliamentarians.

Three days ago gunshots were fired at the house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Aslam Khan in Karachi. Luckily, no one was injured. Lately, PTI MNA Aslam Khan had lodged a case against his MPA seeking the return of money he spent on the election campaign of the provincial lawmaker Abbas Jaffery for non-refund of the election expenses.

Angry workers from all over Sindh demanded 70% representation of founder members in sindh body adding that for election tickets were given to non-native of sindh because we could not afford the elections expense now but how on earth they are being given positions in Sindh body.

On other hand GDA leaders Sardar Abdul Rahim, Irfanullah Marwat and other leaders also had expressed dismay over the PTI government’s performance. They said the incompetent federal government and PTI in Sindh could not do anything yet, the people in Karachi and other parts of the province had been suffering for long. If the situation keep remains so we will have to reconsider about our alliance.
