If you’re addicted to Instagram, you probably have to stop yourself from posting multiple times an hour. But once you’ve edited a picture to perfection, you don’t want to lose those filters, right? Lucky for you, Instagram is testing a new feature that will let you save those edits as a draft instead.
In the last few weeks, several users have reported seeing this new feature pop up in their feeds. Normally, if you decide not to post the photo – be it you don’t have time, don’t have cellular service, or you just posted, you have to abandon your changes. A little warning will pop up alerting you that if you go back, your edits will be discarded. Now, instead of choosing between ‘Discard’ and ‘Continue Editing’, you can choose to ‘Discard’ or ‘Save Draft’.
The image will appear in a section above your camera roll, titled ‘Drafts’. Later, when you re-open Instagram and visit your library to choose a photo to post, you’ll be able to re-upload the same image -filters, captions, and all. Your changes are all preserved! That’s not all Instagram is developing. Business owners will be happy to know that Instagram is also releasing a contact button with the launch of business profiles.
According to Instagram’s blog, business profiles are a free feature for accounts wanting to be recognized as a business on Instagram. With a business profile, businesses can choose how they want their customers to get in touch with them: call, text or email with a tap of the contact button as well as get directions.
According to the press release, Instagram is releasing this feature after companies expressed desire to connect with new customers. The contact button will help owners of businesses – both large and small, seamlessly connect with new consumers.
