ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned Pakhtunkhawa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) chief Mehmood Achakzai on September 01 for his controversial speech against the armed forces.
ECP took up by hearing a petition filed by former presidential candidate Wahid Kamal against Achakzai on Monday. The petitioner in his petition took the plea that he has tried to malign armed forces. No blame can be levied against armed forces under article 19 of the constitution while he tried to do so in National Assembly said, petitioner.
Earlier he had declared Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as province of Afghanistan which was against the constitution said petitioner. Therefore, he declare disqualified under article 63 of the constitution. The ECP summoned him on September 01 and adjourned the hearing of the case.
