Anwer Ali Bugti, an overseas Pakistani currently working in UK to earn his bread & butter, on Tuesday alleged that the land grabbers of the area Kajlo Mari and Ali Gohar Brohi have grabbed his one acre of agriculture land on gun point, situated at his village Lal Bux Bugti, with the help of Mukhtiarkar and patwari of Taluka Larkana.
He appealed to the IGP Sindh, the provincial & federal governments, chief justice of Sindh high court, and chief of army staff (COAS) to take the notice of the matter and help him regain his property by providing him justice and protection from the criminals.
Talking to this reporter on telephone from London, he recorded his peaceful protest against what he said the life threats given by the land grabbers in case of raising his voice against them or if the law took its course against them.
Mr. Anwer Ali Bugti said that he was away from his dear homeland Pakistan only to earn livelihood there in London and faced a number of hardships in order to contribute something to Pakistan but he said the land grabbers of the area had taken illegal control of his ancestral agriculture land.
He said he had submitted complaints to SSP Larkana and concerned taluka police station, multiple times, but nothing had been done against the powerful criminals and land mafia.
He said the police were totally reluctant to take any action against the powerful land seizures and felony culprits despite submission of grievances in black & white, repeatedly.
“The lukewarm response of police shows connivance of police with the land grabbers”, he alleged. He said that the land grabbers Kajlo Mari and Ali Gohar Brohi had threatened to him of dire consequences adding that his life was at stake after he returned home from abroad.
“The lives of my family members are also at risk as the land grabbers are influenced and very much dangerous. They are vindicated and supervised by police”, he maintained and added that he will be killed on return to Pakistan as the criminals had browbeaten him on telephone a number of times.
Mr. Bugti demanded the higher authorities of the country of helping him repossess his ancestral land from the criminals, take legal action against them at earliest and provide him as well as his family with justice and safety.
