KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that there is a dire need to bring change in our attitude if we want to spread education in the province and to get 100 percent literacy rate as well.

Due to lack of comprehensive education policy we could not get our targets in education sector.

This he said while talking to different delegations and presiding over a meeting in his office on Monday. He said the examples of the countries like Sri Lanka, Iran, Maldives and Malaysia are before us that despite limited resources how they have got more than 90 percent literacy rate.

He added, ‘There is no dearth of funds but it is high time that we should work honestly and do all need full to spread education across the province ‘.

He said that a compromise could be made on low cast buildings but on the quality of education no compromise could be acceptable. The minister for education Jam Mehtab said that the CM Sindh had focused specifically on education and health sectors and the people would very soon feel the change. He also requested to the people to come forward and cooperate with the government in its positive moves.
