Nephew of Senate former chairman killed in exchange of fire in capital

ISLAMABAD: The nephew of former chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro, lost his life and another one was injured, in an exchange of fire between two rival groups in the federal capital. The clash took place between two groups of Raja Arshid and Malik Tariq, on a dispute over a girl and the matter made way to the police station. The police forged reconciliation between the two groups. However they clashed again when they came out of the police station and reached the Service Road in F-10/3. According to the police, Malik Tariq sustained injuries while Malik Fahd, nephew of former chairman Senate Mian Muhammad Soomro, received fatal bullet injuries and breathed his last while attempting to broker a compromise between the two groups. The police said no application had been received from any side for initiation of action. The body of Malik Fahd has been placed in a mortuary. His brother will come from London and the body will be handed over to him. On the other hand SHO of the respective police station has been arrested for showing negligence in arresting the culprits. The SSP Islamabad has directed SHO Shalimar Zulfiqar Ali, to report to 15 and inspector Fiyyaz Ranjha of the anti-car lifting cell, has been appointed as the SHO, Shalimar police station.
