COAS confirms death sentence of 11 hardcore terrorists

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday confirmed death sentence to another 11 hardcore terrorists.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the convicts were involved in heinous offences like terrorism and killing of DIG Fayyaz Sumbal and ASI Raza Khan of Balochistan Police and Inspector Kamran Nazir of the ISI in Quetta.

Those involved in sectarian killings, kidnapping and slaughtering civilians and personnel of the Frontier Constabulary and murder of Major Abdid Majeed of the Pakistan Army are among the convicts.

According to the ISPR, Zia Ul Haq, son of Wali Khan, was an active member of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was involved in suicide attacks, attacks on law enforcement agencies and murders of DIG Sumbal, ASI Khan and Inspector Nazir of the ISI. He was also involved in sectarian killings.

Fazal e Rabbi, son of Fazal Ghafoor, was an active member of the TTP and involved in slaughtering and killing civilians. He attacked armed forces of Pakistan, causing death of Major Abid Majeed and injuries to several soldiers.

Muhammad Sher, son of Zaray, was an active member of the TTP and involved in killing of civilians as well as security personnel. He also destroyed a middle school for girls.

Umer Zada, son of Gul Rehman, was an active member of the TTP and involved in attacks on the armed forces.

Latif Ur Rehman, son of Saif Ur Rehman, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies.

Muhammad Adil, son of Muhammad Akbar Jan, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in kidnapping and slaughtering soldiers of the Frontier Constabulary and destruction of the Matta Police Station. Israr Ahmed, son of Abdul Rahim Jan, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in attacks on the armed forces, destruction of a primary school for girls and a hotel of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC). Abdul Majeed, son of Khona Moula, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in attacks on the armed forces and a hotel of the PTDC. Hazrat Ali, son of Fazal e Rabi, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in bomb explosions and attacks on the armed forces.

Mian Said Azam, son of Mian Said Jaffar, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved attacks on the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and girls schools.

Qaiser Khan, son of Habib Khan, was an active member of the TTP. He carried out attacks on civilians and communication infrastructure.
