FAISALABAD: The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) recovered two minors engaged in child labour from the jurisdiction of D-Type Colony Police Station. Child Protection Officer Ali Abid Naqvi said on Tuesday that the CPWB received a call at its emergency number that two men Abdul Ghaffar and Bashir had confined some minors in their private quarter in Rasool Pura area on Sammundri road for labour work. The CPWB team with the help of D-Type Colony police conducted a raid at the private quarter of the accused and recovered two children, 14-year-old Usman and 10-year-old Suleman. The children said that they were forced to beg and work for the accused, Naqvi said. The raiding team arrested Abdul Ghaffar and Bashir from the spot and sent them to lock-up after registering a case. Further investigation against them was in progress.
