The heartbreaking news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise has left everyone shocked and devastated. According to a few reports, Sushant was suffering from Depression for the last 6 months.

Sushant was only 34-years-old and was at the peak of his career when he decided to end his life. Being a small-town boy, Sushant Singh Rajput achieved a lot in this movie industry. He was one of the rare talents who carved the road for himself.

Being one of the very talented actors, Sushant Singh Rajput became the first choice of many directors and producers. While he gave brilliant performances in many movies, he couldn’t perform in certain movies because of various reasons. Some of the movies he rejected even went on to become blockbuster hits.

• Ram Leela

Bollywood producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first choice was Sushant to play the Ram Rajari in the movie Ram Leela. However, Sushant was bound with other movie contracts and had to leave the role.

• Andhadhun

It is said that Sriram Raghavan wanted to cast Sushant during the casting process of the movie. However, things did not work well as it were planned and the role was later given to Ayushman Khurrana.

• Kabir Singh

The makers of the movie Kabir Singh considered Sushant Singh Rajput and Arjun Kapoor for the role which later Shahid Kapoor played initially but both the actors turned down the project.

• Fitoor

Fitoor was offered to Sushant for the lead role but he turned down the offer because of his busy schedule. Aditya Roy Kapoor later got the movie.

• Half Girlfriend

‘Half Girlfriend’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, was based on the novel by Chetan Bhagat. However, before this pair was roped in for the role, Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput were considered for the lead role. The role was also offered to Varun Dhawan.

• Befikre

Aditya Chopra, the director of Befikre wanted to try the jodi of Vaani Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput for the movie Befikre after Shudh Desi Romance. However, he later decided to cast Ranveer Singh for the role of Dharam in the movie.

• RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter

After giving hit performances in movies like Satya Mev Jayate and Madras Cafe, John Abraham delivered another brilliant performance in ‘RAW’. However, he wasn’t the first choice for the role. Sushant was offered this role before John.

• Saare Jahan Se Accha

Several Bollywood actors including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput, were offered the role of astronaut ‘Rakesh Sharma’. But finally, Vicky Kaushal was picked for the role of Astronaut Rakesh Sharma in his biopic.
