Six medical stores sealed in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: Six chemist and drug stores were sealed by the district drug control authority here on Wednesday for operating without a valid drug licence.

The officials also initiated action against medicine distributors involved in supply of drugs to unlicensed premises.

According to a press release, health officials raided different medical stores in the peripheries of Abbottabad. During the inspection, the officials sealed Shafique Medical Store, Dr Mumtaz Burki Clinic Pharmacy, Dawa Pharmacy of Dr Humaira Jadoon Hospital, Al-Syed Hospital Pharmacy, Gillani Hospital Pharmacy and Fazal Surgical and Pharmacy for operating without a valid drug sale licence. The officials also seized drugs of Kaleem Traders for supplying drugs on fake warranty.
