ISLAMABAD: The world’s longest water colour painting has been permanently displayed at the main library of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) to preserve this mega artistic work.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, The 63.5 feet water color painting was prepared by 35 international and national watercolorists during recent Asia ‘s first ever Social Sciences Expo organised by Inter University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences at Pak-China Friendship Centre Islamabad.
According to the spokesman of the Inter University Consortium, a great event of producing the largest water colour painting of the world was recently held at Islamabad where Pakistani artists along with AtanurDogan, Canadian based President of the international water colour society prepared the painting.
The previous world record was of 45 feet long painting in Turkey while here in Pakistani artists prepared more than 60 meter long painting depicting rich culture and diversity of Pakistan.
He also thanked the Vice Chancellor of University Abdul Wali Khan and Prof Dr Ihsan Ali for taking interest to preserve the mega artistic work. He also appreciated the efforts of Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in this regard.
